Q:Does Charis qualify for my employer’s Matching Gift Program?
A:

As a 501(c)3 organization, your donation to Charis should qualify for Matching Gift Programs.

Q:Does Charis see children?
A:

Charis does see children 5 and older for sick visits only.

Q:How does Charis differ from other clinics?
A:

Charis takes a holistic approach. Charis strives to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every patient.

Q:What if I need to see a specialist or other treatment is needed that Charis does not provide?
A:

Charis has a network of specialists who will see our referred patients at reduced rates.

Q:How do I qualify to become a Charis patient?
A:

The requirements to be a Charis patient are to be age 5 or older and have NO MEDICAL INSURANCE OF ANY KIND.

Q:Do I need an appointment?
A:

Yes, appointments are required. Charis is not a walk-in clinic. Please call one of our two locations to schedule an appointment.

Q:What will I need to bring?
A:

The first time you come in for an appointment, you will need to bring a photo ID, your medication list, and $25 for the office visit. You will be asked to sign a statement to verify you do not have health insurance coverage.

Q:Do I need to have medical experience to volunteer?
A:

Medical Experience is a plus, but we have plenty of opportunities to volunteer that do not require any medical background. To Volunteer, call (615) 773-5785.

Q:Is my donation to Charis Tax Deductible?
A:

Charis Health Center is a 501(c)3 and as such, your donations will be deductible as allowed by the tax code.

Q:Can I make a donation by Credit Card?
A:

Q:How much will it cost me for a visit?
A:

Charis charges a nominal fee of $25 for each office visit. Blood work fees are extra.
